The Wilson US Open High Altitude Tennis Ball is a specialized version of the iconic tournament ball designed specifically for play at locations 3,000 to 3,500 feet (and above) higher than sea level. Standard pressurized tennis balls expand and become overly bouncy in thin mountain air, but the high-altitude variant uses a modified internal pressure core to guarantee a truer, highly controllable bounce.
